Bedok Mall is a shopping center in Singapore’s Bedok neighborhood that is connected with a bus interchange and consists of both residential and retail space. The condominium built right above it is called Bedok Residences. Built on the location of the former Bedok bus interchange, it was the first sizable mall to open in Bedok.
Through a link at Basement 2 and the bus interchange, which is directly above the mall on Level 2, the mall is connected to the Bedok MRT station. Additionally, it is close to the Bedok Interchange Hawker Center.
The former Bedok Bus Interchange will be transformed into an integrated transportation hub with an air-conditioned bus interchange, a shopping mall, and a residential complex, the Land Transport Authority said in 2009. In late 2011, the Bedok Bus Interchange was relocated to a temporary position close to its original location to permit building work for the integrated hub.
The Bedok Mall and Bedok Residences were introduced at the same time as an integrated complex by CapitaLand, the site’s developer. Capitaland announced that Bedok Mall would open in late 2013, six months ahead of schedule, even though it was initially supposed to be finished in 2014. Additionally, it declared that FairPrice Finest, Best Denki, and Uniqlo have signed on as anchor tenants for the mall.
On December 3, 2013, Bedok Mall opened with 80% of its stores open. The air-conditioned Bedok Bus Interchange opened on November 30, 2014, and Bedok Residences was finished in June 2015. A 3-story lifestyle and family shopping mall and eight 15-story residential buildings known as Bedok Residences make up the integrated retail and residential development in Bedok’s town center.
