Plaza Singapura overview

Owned by CapitaMall Trust, Plaza Singapura is managed by CapitaLand and is located right above Dhoby Ghaut MRT station. First opened in 1974, Plaza Singapura now has over seven floors and two basement levels of retail shops and stores. It is also sometimes called Plaza Sing as its short form.

In 2008, Plaza Singapura underwent minor renovations, and level 7 of the shopping mall was changed and new retail shops and stores selling gifts, toys and hobby items such as cosplay costumes were added.

In 2012, Plaza Singapura went through major renovation work costing around $150 million. The first three levels of Atrium@Orchard, which previously was rented out to several offices, were converted into retail shops. Some other notable renovation changes to Plaza Singapura during this renovation are that of Carrefour being replaced with Cold Storage supermarket, and the addition of John Little. The construction and addition of a new wing to Plaza Singapura shopping centre meant that the retail floor area of the mall increased greatly. Plaza Singapura also then had a new facade with a 170 metre wave frontage with sculptures and more. In 2015, Plaza Singapura had further renovation works.
