Opened on 1 April 2009, Tampines 1 is a 5 storey shopping mall located in the east of Singapore right next to the Tampines MRT station. In the center of Tampines, one of Singapore’s most populated residential areas and the Eastern Regional Center, lies Tampines 1. The mall is owned by Frasers Centrepoint Trust (FCT).

The DBS Tampines Centre was demolished in March 2007, and construction on Tampines 1 mall then started. Tampines 1 took the place of the former Pavilion Cineplex and DBS Tampines Centre. The mall received TOP on March 31, 2009, and the following day it welcomed customers. The building was upgraded from 17 March 2012 to 10 November of that same year at an estimated development cost of S$450 million.

Tampines 1 is a five-story shopping mall with two basement floors that is situated near to the Tampines MRT junction and the Tampines Bus Interchange.

Shoppers and diners can choose from a variety of F&B, lifestyle, beauty, and fashion businesses at Tampines 1, including well-known names like Cold Storage, Don Don Donki, Muji, and Gain City.
