Opening hours: 10am to 10pm

A five-story shopping center called White Sands Shopping Mall, popularly known as White Sands, is located in Pasir Ris, Singapore. It has two additional stories of basement parking and a basement with retail stores close to the Pasir Ris MRT station and Pasir Ris Bus Interchange.

Due to its close vicinity to Pasir Ris Bus Interchange, where conscripted soldiers are dropped off from the army camp on Pulau Tekong, the mall serves as a meeting place for them.

OCBC Properties Pte Ltd. created White Sands, which debuted as Pasir Ris’s first sizable mall in December 1996. It featured an Eng Wah cinema, Singapore’s first Timezone arcade (at the time the biggest arcade in Singapore), a food court, a John Little department store, a Courts store, a Popular bookstore, the neighborhood post office, an NTUC FairPrice supermarket, and more than 60 specialty shops, just like a typical suburban mall.

Due to falling attendance, the arcade and theater closed in 1999 and were replaced, respectively, by shops and the Pasir Ris Public Library (which opened in October 2000). In 2004, the mall was sold to ARMF Pte Ltd. It is now currently owned by Frasers Centrepoint Trust (FCT).
